In production

Let’s be honest: as a teaser, for now, it isn’t much. Fifteen seconds of dented sheet metal and a few close-ups. But we needed a pretext, because today is the day we say it out loud: The Mystery of the Santa Maria is officially a game in production. Not an experiment any more, not “let’s see if something comes of it”: we mean it. The plan — barring mishaps, and on a one-person project mishaps are practically family — is to finish the work by October and release in November. If you’re reading this in December and the game still isn’t here, you know where to find us: in the devlog, explaining why.

For now, in any case, we want to say it, because we’re fairly convinced. After all, nobody is paying us to actually keep to a schedule. So here goes: The Mystery of the Santa Maria is out in November. Where, how and why is all still to be settled.

Thanks to the whole team who are making this possible. Simone Pizzi as project lead, Alex Raccuglia for the cinematics, Alirio Bruni for the magnificent music, Leonardo Tomassetti for being William, and Deborah Piu and Olivia Quattrocchi for giving face and voice to Hilde Berg and Akkaya. Keep following us on this site. The official press release is coming soon.
